River Rouge Layout 1.0

I'm on a break between classes and enjoying building River Rouge. Here is a picture of what should be the complete road layout (relatively speaking). Now onward I go with building the city.

The subdivision-like roads (with no buildings) looks SO realistic! I ought to try to do that in my city.

How long did it take you to make them like that?

@Steven H. Endermann I use bridges @ zero elevation to build my road layout and create smooth inclines. This is based on what I feel the topography should be, so there is a lot of subjective 'art' that goes into it. I fill in the blocks w/plaza (to terraform the rest of the space) and then delete the plaza leaving a smooth incline to build property on. Finally, I go through and rebuild with no-bridge roads, or roads that have intersection graphics segment by segment. If I add more roads I start the process over to get rid of the kinks right before an intersection. It's incredibly tedious but I love the result. It takes a long time, but I build my transportation infrastructure before I start building the buildings and what not.

@Steven H. Endermann I have an OCD about that damn kink in the road right before an intersection on hills. LOL. Plus, my method allows you to customize your topography relatively easily, especially using RHM as the "bridge" road that ends up getting replaced or outright deleted to leave a smooth hill.

**Watch out.. the larger the plaza size the higher likelihood of a crash.. drastically higher likelihood.. build 'bridge-topography' roads with plaza size in mind.**
