Novigrad, officially Principality of Novigrad, is a sovereign city-state, located on the Adriatic Sea. It is bordered by Slovenia and Croatia while its coast borders the Adriatic Sea. Novigrad is the third smallest country in the world, after Vatican City and Monaco. It is also one of the most densely populated countries in the world.

The independent city-state was established in 1991 by the Brioni Agreement, signed on the Croatian Brijuni Islands. This is the Accord that put an end on the War of Slovenia, the first part of the 1990's Yugoslavia Wars. This is also the time when Slovenian and Croatian independence were agreed too.

In the city, there are cultural sites such as St. Helena's Basilica, the Brioni Chapel and the Principality Museum. They all feature some of the world's most famous paintings and sculptures.

The unique economy of Novigrad is supported by tourism and commercial businesses enjoying very low tax rates. Novigrad seaport is the eighth biggest seaport in Europe, another major source of revenue for the city state and a major gateway to the Northern Balkans.

    Santa Helena

Santa Helena is the oldest part of the city state. Established in the 12th century, it flourished during the Renaissance as a bustling commercial center of the times. The Old Port is nowadays a marina, a small cruiseship port and the main tourist attraction of the city. While the quaint old seaport occupies the lower parts of the area, St. Helena's Basilica dominates the highest point of it.

Santa Helena has been an island approached only by the sea till the 17th century. Then, it was connected to the mainland and nowadays the island is a part of the bigger city surrounding it.

Nicely done ! Amazing city, and beautiful pictures. They really have some special touch in them, stylish.
One thing i dont like very much is that skyline. For my taste its to dense and big for city style like this. But thats just my opinion. 5+ stars nevertheless , keep up the good work ! :)

    5/5,
One of the most realistic cities I have ever seen. I have always liked your sense of realism. And the plazas in the central of the town is just amazing. Needless to say, the Habsburg architecture is very well executed.
One thing though (as seen in the Rijeka section) the highrise buildings seen in the distance (considering the population of the Istria Peninsula) seems a bit too dense for a city like Novigrad.

You are absolutely right about the high rises at the background! I am also not very fond of them and they should almost sure get lower / less. Thank you again! I know it needs time to review :)
