Riijalda is a capital of small country in North-Easter Europe. Started as a hanseatic medieval town, it was part of German Empire, Russian Empire and USSR, and now it’s a thriving independent country, with rich culture and history.

Recent surge in tourism and commercial business led to rapid expansion of a town, particularly New Riijalda district, a home to modern architecture, a striking contrast with its medieval town. Don’t limit your visit in Riijalda to just central town, take a chance to dip into several distinct time periods in this breathtaking place!

    Jugendstil (Art-Nouveau) Town
Riijalda didn’t grew much past medieval town until late 19th century, when it experienced massive growth fuelled by economic boom. As such, this place is a wonderful collection of Art-Nouveau buildings.

    Soviet Era Town
After becoming part of USSR after WWII, Riijanda seen a massive growth, mainly due immigration from Russia and surrounding villages. Fast growth and tough economic times meant simple block of flats have dominated city for good portion of 20th century. These days city council spends a lot of resources trying to revitalise those grey and tired concrete jungles.

    New Riijalda
After Riijalda became a capital of new independent country and joined European Union in early 21st century, it started to experience new phase of growth. But not from people moving in, but rather from businesses and tourists.
Soon, a new planned modern town emerged on the other side of river, highways were built to connect with neighbours, and airport was upgraded to accommodate new rising needs. New Riijalda never stopped growing, there are still numerous building in progress!

    Airport
It proved to be challenge to build airport this big on hilly terrain, but this was achieved throughout many decades of upgrades. These days it can accept 99% of all aircrafts, has a connection to highway and bus network to town. There currently are plans to build a second terminal and expand road network, as well as to build a light railway connection to central town.

    5/5,
Well placed, well done, excellent amount of plopping, I hate what's has happened to RHW ; the clunky curves and not-so-even fly over bridges seem to the norm now.

Thanks for your review! Yeah, it's a shame, wish it was possible to fix, although I'm certain it's a limitation on the game, and we all know what's the chance of this being fixed. For now, just have to pretend these are nice curves.
