CJ The City of Frisco

My take on an iconic US city.

    Population:
    267000
    Map:
    Frisco
    Game Version:

Hey there! Some of you may recognise the name from way back when CXL was online! I've been playing on-and-off since then (through all of the troubles..). I quit for a few years, but the pull was too much for me to handle! I hope you enjoy! She's still under construction, but here's my first city in a couple of years; it's my take on the classic US city, San Francisco, but in my world, she goes by...

    Frisco

Hollywood is not technically a part of the City of Frisco, but given its close proximity, it benefits from a spill over of population from the other side of the bay. The city itself is has based itself as somewhat of a Mecca for high tech industries, and boasts the area's second longest monorail network. Some of the Bay Area's famous landmarks are located in Hollywood; such as the Hollywood sign, the Node Spire, the Colossus of the Flame, and of course the Florenteejn Bridge.

The City of Frisco (or Frisco for short) is one of the larger cities in the Commonwealth, it claims one of the most extensive tram, rail, monorail, bus, and ferry networks in the world, and plays host to a variety of sports teams, music festivals, orchestras, and other significant cultural and scientific establishments. The city has a vast history of multiculturalism, having been at a meeting point of several different cultures, this is reflected in the accent of the locals, as well as the openness of its people. Frisco is a multilingual city, but all are taught a common tongue fluently. The city is one of the largest ports in the Commonwealth, as well as one of the most important hub for many global companies. It is the state capital, and also houses many essential federal buildings.

    3/5,
Building choice is right ( for American style ) but density is questionable. Questionable cause pictures are not showing other areas from downtown. So for now you are missing crucial parts of every city ( transition parts, residential, industry, development areas, city parks etc.
So 3 stars from me :)
    Cheers !

They're missing because they don't exist, as it says in the description; 'still under construction'.

    5/5,
Hey there! I remember your cities Florenteeijn and the other one (name is not in my mind), i enjoyed watching them. I like your density and the style, although the map is a bit too small imo. Nice comeback, i am keen to see more cities by you :-)

Florenteejn and Vilnjuuve! (long may they rest in peace)

The map is deceptively big, I've just not used much of it yet. I've terraformed some pretty sizable hills around the CBD area (like San Francisco), and have build the main arterial roads on the main chunk of land. I'm excited to get stuck into it, and actually build this thing! I just wanted to post a teaser!

    5/5,
Nice work, I need to do the same and concentrate on a small area instead of trying to fill the map up.
It's a good idea to upload you images on xlnation otherwise you may have a problem in the future with your mages if the imagehost closes.

Staying concentrated on one spot is definitely the hardest part! That's why I don't post overheads too much, because my building style tends to be all over the place, and then I fill in the gaps when I get to it haha.

    4/5,
I liked the overview, you've made nice job so far. In m opinion, the city is promising. On the other hand, it needs some fine tuning. For example, the city deserves a decent promenade, some modern plazas etc. I'd like to see more pictures.

    3/5,
City has potential but because the pictures are not embedded it makes the journal hard to view.
