CXL Platinum CXL Crashing At Startup.

    CXL is crashing at startup. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? It will be appreciated. Thanx.

    probably one of those mods that you give 5 stars too but decent mods you give less. Go figure.

    Anyways issue is a mod has defined a custom tag when it's not supported

    "Custom" tag is for XXL only, seems you're using an XXL Mod for Platinum?

    ah I new the UIM requires MSCUSTOM, Seems xxl also supports that tag, I presume from what your saying @Altiris XXL also supports a "Custom" tag?

    Can you please create a new thread with Tags supported by XXL ? or sim

    nope,... but its one from xxl-exchange, so not many mods to check
    you can also sort your mods by date downloaded in windows btw. so one of the last ones;)

    Ok, so I deleted all my most recently downloaded mods and the game is still crashing at startup. Help.

    looks like your city your trying to play is still looking for those mod/patches.
    delete your city and start a new one.

    I can't just keep on deleting and restarting cities. I've been doing this since I stared CXL.

    Isn't there any other solution?

    ok seriously now :)

    1. Do NOT use a mod that has not been tested for you game version be it 2011/2012/Platinum, or XXL. The new Cities XXL is different so not all mods from older series will work automatically in XXL.

    2. Read the modders notes about what other pre-mods you may need to install first. and make sure your installing pre-mods for the game version your playing. EG UIM mod for XL2012/Plat or the community mod for Cities XXL.

    3. If you have a large city you love I suggest you create a new test city, where you can test new mods and game play first. when your happy that mods works for you in your test city it should be fine to add to your master city.
