Hey there! My name is Yevheniy and I am developing a city-building game named Ostriv. It has semi-fictional historical setting of late pre-industrial era.

Here are some of the key features:
– detailed economic simulation and human behavior
A player has no direct control of citizens. People in game act like people: they have their own motivation, needs and skills. Citizens will take jobs only if they are satisfied with them (or they are desperate). They can sell goods and services to each other on the local market. Wealthy citizens could start their own business in your town and hire other people. You will need to influence your city by means of setting prices, taxes and various policies. Each decision will certainly lead to some reaction of the society.

In anticipation of the next City Map Building Contest, I decided that instead of me just picking a new map, the community will vote a map for the contest from the official entries. Hopefully our map makers will rise to the challenge.

The Rules:
1. It must be compatible with XL and XXL
2. You cannot upload the map to XLNation until the winner is announced. (Cant give folks an early start)
3. You may only submit photos for the contest.
4. It must be a new map
5. Multiple entries are allowed from each map maker

Schedule:
1. Now to December 5th - Create your maps and even share advanced photos on this thread for comments and encouragement from the XLNation community
2. When you are satisfied submit your official entry on the Winter 2015 Map Thread
2. Community voting for 10 days (December 5 - 15, 2015)...

You may have noticed over the last 6 months my lack of attention to the website. Time and life commitments limit my ability to focus on XLNation.

With this in mind. I would like to turn over the reigns of the website to some one else. My hope is to complete this transfer by January 2017.

• This will be a complete transfer of the domain name and xenFORO license.
• The new owner will need to arrange for their own web hosting service.
• I will provide a complete backup of XLNation to the new "owner" for installation on their own server or webhosting company.
• I will provide limited technical support but honestly to take on this commitment you need to be knowledgeable in webhosting.

Think before you act. You will be looking at monthly fees approaching $100+ per month to host the domain on a web hosting service.

Update: 11/30/16 XLNation will shutdown on March 1, 2017 unless someone steps up and takes ownership.
