Passing Reigns of XLNation
You may have noticed over the last 6 months my lack of attention to the website. Time and life commitments limit my ability to focus on XLNation.
With this in mind. I would like to turn over the reigns of the website to some one else. My hope is to complete this transfer by January 2017.
- This will be a complete transfer of the domain name and xenFORO license.
- The new owner will need to arrange for their own web hosting service.
- I will provide a complete backup of XLNation to the new "owner" for installation on their own server or webhosting company.
- I will provide limited technical support but honestly to take on this commitment you need to be knowledgeable in webhosting.
Update: 11/30/16 XLNation will shutdown on March 1, 2017 unless someone steps up and takes ownership. -

Map for the next city building challenge
Happy New Year, Folks,
if I remember correctly, then the new city challenge should begin at the end of January.
So, I know, the last challenge is still in your minds, but well, it started on 30th of July last year.
Now, before you start complaining about the map (... @Inan
), well you could make some map suggestions.
BUT: no loose concepts, at least add a map drawn in MS Paint. Of course, you can also suggest real life places. C'mon guys, it's not that hard to draw a concept in MS Paint.
BUT 2): no island maps (last map was an island map)
BUT 3): no already existing XL/XXL maps
And, one advice: too much land will only lead to maps not being filled.
And we may need a map maker, @skullz613

Map Contest for the Winter 2015-16 City Map Building Contest
In anticipation of the next City Map Building Contest, I decided that instead of me just picking a new map, the community will vote a map for the contest from the official entries. Hopefully our map makers will rise to the challenge.
Heads up Map Makers!
The Rules:
1. It must be compatible with XL and XXL
2. You cannot upload the map to XLNation until the winner is announced. (Cant give folks an early start)
3. You may only submit photos for the contest.
4. It must be a new map
5. Multiple entries are allowed from each map maker
Schedule:
1. Now to December 5th - Create your maps and even share advanced photos on this thread for comments and encouragement from the XLNation community
2. When you are satisfied submit your official entry on the Winter 2015 Map Thread
