I'm sorry about my bad english.

I have some problem, and I needs your help.

I made a 3ds model to 3dsMAX by sketch up export. and import it in 3dsMAX2012!

editable poly, object naming, unwrapUVW, make mapping img, allthing is good.
I think that process was no problem.
I just followed tutorial by aitortilla01.

And I can rendering by 3dsMAX render.
But I can rendering by XLveiwer render!

    It looks like this img.
    q1.jpg

I can't see my mapping img in my model, and it doesn't export(save scene).

    Whats the matter?

I needs your help, and thank you so much to read my bad english.

    [ Used Tool : Sketchup7PRO, 3dsMAX 2012, Suite Viewer(in xlnation), shader for modder(in xlnation), PhotoshopCS5 ]

Is that means Shader option? (building, building enhanced)
    All options are same.
    Thank you for your reply.

uhm, im not sure if you uploaded the correct file...? its just a grey (not uv-mapped) box^^
anyway, since only a diffuse map is in your archive i guess its due to a missing normal map

    Thank you for your reply.

I think that i uploaded the correct file. I download that and check the mapped now.
I don't know why you can't see mapped img.

And.. I guess that just only a diffuse map with model can appear XLviewer. Isn't it?
I looked many tutorials, and almost basic modeling tutorials used diffuse, illumination, bump. so I used just diffuse map in this process(modeling study).
But It's not sure. I didn't make ones.

Iif you don't mind, Can I recieve your example file?
I want to cross check with mine.

    yeah, add a bump map

if you have already done that, then your export might be corrupt ("dxt4 issue")

well, the model in your picture of first post is a building, the one in your zip-file is a untextured box... o_O:confused:
nope, you can display all maps in viewer. as far as i know a diffuse, normal and illumination map is required to display the model correctly.
which example file u want to have from me?
maybe this tut can help you understanding some things :) http://xlnation.city/resources/lets-start-3d-moddeling-part-i-modeling-a-basic-lod4-model.1131/

I got that error a while ago. I can't remember what you have to do, but I think it's related to bad geometry. Try selecting all vertices then hit the weld 'window' button under Edit Poly. Reset Xform too.

Uploaded file was just for the test. I coudn't upload screeanshots file why file is big.
Anyway that screenshots file use maps diffues, bump('bump=normal' right?), self-illumination. and add sp, op, rf, lm today. but it is produced same problem.
So.. I guess the problems reason is other mistake.
I'm almost groggy. However Your reply was very uplifting! Thankyou!

Pink building usually mean maps or models not found error. Make sure your paths are correct. also make sure your model LODs are named correct b_x_L1, b_x_L2 etc.

you could prb name your diffuse map b_ind_choiOFFICE02_DIF_l1
    your Illumination map b_ind_choiOFFICE02_ILL_l1,
    etc.

and also select Shader - building.

Had a quick look, seems your other maps are causing issues. did you just add random maps to those slots (bump,sp,rf,ill)without understanding what they do? = not good.
Remove all your maps apart from diffuse map it should then export fine.
Then learn how to add other maps properly. Many tutorials are on this site.
    Cheers
