    Happy New Year, Folks,

    if I remember correctly, then the new city challenge should begin at the end of January.

    So, I know, the last challenge is still in your minds, but well, it started on 30th of July last year.

    Now, before you start complaining about the map (... @Inan :p ), well you could make some map suggestions.

    BUT: no loose concepts, at least add a map drawn in MS Paint. Of course, you can also suggest real life places. C'mon guys, it's not that hard to draw a concept in MS Paint.

    BUT 2): no island maps (last map was an island map)

    BUT 3): no already existing XL/XXL maps

    And, one advice: too much land will only lead to maps not being filled.

    And we may need a map maker, @skullz613 :)

    Spread the news, guys ;)

    Hahaha, well, let's see, maybe there are better suggestions ;) also, I am not sure about it myself, it is still a lot of flat land to fill...

    For me,the less flat land is the best.:D
    im still frustrating about the XXL only map editor which can create any possibility for a good looking map. Personally,i dislike the map created by CXL map editor, somehow they always looks like a flat land no matter how hard you've tried to make the mountain as high as possible,on top of that,the mountain texture is kinda lack the sense of reality.i would really wanna try the existed map in game for the next challenge,yes,i know thats impossible lol.
    Well,honestly,the original landscape of a city map has a great deal with an excellent city.

    Ps: I read this post on my phone,i will upload a map drawn once i got chance to use computer.

    Well I had started mucking around with a map after Kipate sent me a PM.
    Nothing to special. Have not had time to get back to it yet.
    Still needs work on the hills areas

    A really nice pick, kip! Though I would enjoy a little wider river to have more fun with bridges etc. May be go just a few hundred meters to the North? Google Maps

    Very cool, skullz! My only question is about the river width - is it enough for the big ships? I mean, if we go for small rivers, that's totally fine with me, just that the ports will not be used as much...

    Anyway, both picks are very good! :)

    center of the map ~ center of the map but with entire fallen leaf lake (and lake tahoe "as coast"?)

    I can make it wider. Just made the map to get myself motivated. It's still in World Machine so anything can be done to it.
    I will wait to see what suggestions from Google are chosen as there's been some good ones so far.

    It's a great idea to look for a siutable map for a new contest... but guys, could you please add a little description to your google map links? We'll have to open them over and over again... ;)

    Btw: I like Lisboa as map very much... and Pepino's 2nd map :p

    Lisbon map already exists, it is part of the Iberian Map Pack, just to have you know. And it would be quite dishonouring TFM if we made a second version of it just for a contest.

    Just a map I haven't posted yet.
    I can furnish a height map (.png) or the .r32 map editor file.
    Only the materials will have to be re-applied for an XL compatable map.
