Using Blender For Modding

    one simple question...
    can i use blender for the building modding insted of 3ds max?

    you can create your building with whatever program you like
    but you must export it to 3ds max at the end because the cxl-exporter tool is only available for 3ds max 2012

    now its 2015, is there still a place to get 3ds max2012?

    i think its still available at autodesk educational site
    but better get it quickly before they remove it

    For CitiesXXL, the Artists Tool Suite is stand alone so I don't think you need 3dsMax to model. In addition, it supports .FBX so you should be able to use any modelling tool you want.
