    It's Reykjavik, Iceland.
    While I was finding for more possible cities, Iceland suddenly came up in my mind because of the color of the grass
    and also the lack of trees, which to me means it must be somewhere really cold.

    it is more eastern of Kursk, but not as far as Vladivostok...

    no, not Jekaterinburg either... the Mystery City has something in common with
    Jekaterinburg, and also with Vladivostok and Moscow...
    but not with Kursk...
    And the region of the Mystery City has something in common with the CJ Tokarga,
    though the 'thing' in Tokarga is about 25 km closer to the city than the 'thing' in the Mystery City is...
    Edit: and it is behind the Ural Mountains...
