  For XXL there the map editor from Steam. It is not realy a tutorial but a tool to produce the environmental parts of the game level like atmosphere and sky cubemaps.
  I used it. The GUI has many bugs but whatever it is useful. The tutorial: try combinations and see the effects.

If you are going to register on XLNation, please make sure you do not use a proxy server.
If you use a proxy server your registration will most likely get blocked due to spammers and hackers using proxy servers to hide their real IP address.
