should be really ok for a first mod, i made this mistake as well when i began modding^^

that is what I think, only the finish one it still use warehouse model, except the stairs and detail... it was triangulated so badly into very small pieces, I try to quadrify it but it make it another part also triangulated... so I rebuild it on max.
at first I made it as T2, but it has very small dimension 23x35 so I change it into T1, probably I should make it back to T2

    Thanks for all your help

you can try one of the "subdivision" options
    untitled1160u8v.png

and if that doesnt work for some reason i only now the way of manually using the slice plane and use the coordinates as a orientation
right-click the select and move option therefore and select a exact "top view" (or whatever) to see the exact result
    untitled221suug.png

monty also told me another way to do this once, but i cant remember the exact way to do it and the post got lost @old xln

That retail store looks good. Is it 60x40? Try using MultiRes and ProOptimizer modifiers to reduce model complexity. Or simply proceed deleting tiny faces and then filling the empty space using Create (convert to Editable Mesh).

    Use Auto Edge too (2:30).

This looks promising! I like your other work and it's helped greatly in the Asian-styled city I'm working on.

I look forward to seeing even more of your work. :)

I am still confuse using the subdivision...the surrounding faces become like a hill
I am using the slice panel instead like You said...

it was very small 23x35, I am trying to change it into standar 40x40.
That seems what I need, will try it out....thank you very much

still stuck at making the lightmap, following nicko tutorial
the result are blured texture everytime...still figure out what I am missing

    It looks great!

Nightlighting can be very difficult to make look good (that's what I've heard before at least). My suggestion might be to find real photos of lit up windows and copy the texture from that.

Either way, can't wait to see more.
