National Aquatics Center, also known as the "Water Cube", is located in the Beijing Olympic Park, Beijing built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, the main swimming pool, one of the iconic buildings of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Its design, is generated by the global design competition "Water Cube" ([H2O] 3) program. Started on December 24, 2003, to be completed by January 28, 2008. National Stadium (commonly known as the Bird's Nest) points out in the northern end of the axis of the city on both sides, together form a relatively complete historical and cultural city image.
