This tutorial is for those who would like to know how to get a Google overlay onto their maps. It's actually not that hard to do

This tutorial sometimes assumes that you already know how to make a map in World Machine and use the Map Maker. If you don't then I recommend you follow the following tutorials for help.

    - An Evening With Funky - Let's make a map by Funky (3 videos, first one is about setting up World Machine)
    - Adding maps to CXL with UIM by Funky
    - Tutorial Mapping I by Alex

I used Funkys video tutorials (An Evening With Funky - Let's make a map) to build my template in World Machine. Since then I have added stuff to it as I have learnt more about World Machine.
I will however, try to cover some of the basics. I will also include tips to help making maps a little quicker and easier.

Excellent. I have to try making a map some day. Btw, about taking pics of Google Street, I would recommed using Google Earth Pro (which is free since January 2015 if you use the GEPFREE code) You can take HD pictures up to 4800x2700 pixels. This means you can cover the whole area with less screenshots and more detail. Also the controls are much more precise, you can pan around the map using the arrow keys.

I think I found out about the welding by accident then read up about it.
