To match it perfectly along the road, I:
1) place two 20m buildings (latin pack) instead of the mentioned 10m one,
2) delete the first,
3) run a 2- or 3-m ped path along the new building (parallel to the original road),
4) delete the building and upgrade the ped path to 1m
This usually does the trick
