Buildings A few different ideas and suggestions

Hello Modders,

I have been missing a few elements from the game and I even gave a try at modding myself, but I have no knowledge of graphic designing, etc. so it ended up a bit of a failure. Some of the things I wanted have already been added to the mods, so that's great! Somebody read my mind haha...

I would like to create shopping streets like the ones you can find in any big city, where all the major retailers and High street shops are placed. Like Shibuya or Shinjuku in Tokyo or Regent street and Oxford street in London. Now with the pedestrian spaces in the mods it would be great to have a nice pedestrian street lined up with all the fashion shops and nice bars and cafes. There is a certain femenine element missing from the game. Spas and hairdressers jointly with the clothing stores would be a plus.

On a different note, I would like to see more green energy elements in the game, like for instance street lamps like this one:

I worked on one inspired by this one and then I got stuck and my trial software expired but I still have the blender file if that is of any help

I guess this next point has nothing to do with modders and is really more aimed at game developers but I don't understand why we have to have heavy industry for example, on each city. Why the restrictions? I know I can play in sandbox mode but, really what I expect from a game is not having to abide by real world rules because for that I already have the real world. So what can I do if I want to create a city that only uses green energy, or is filled with academic and cultural buildings or it's mainly an entertainment place? Even if it is unrealistic. Realistic rendering of buildings and any other city elements is great, but if the rules of the game are going to be limiting the player's imagination, then that is not so good and in some cases just frustrating.

Hi there, I have to apologize as there is already a Shibuya pak. I discovered it today as it is a pre-XXL mod a had not noticed it. Al so other shops from older mods. Some nice European style cafes with terraces and canopies wouldn't harm either; to stop and have a bite as a break from shopping

 

It seems that after all I have no excuses to not build a nice pedestrian shopping street in the city center at my current project

 

I have also found that @Monty 's modular shoppingmall's filler with shops is great for this, so I'll be using that one as well: it works on XXL
