Today is the last few days of 2024. Here, I want to say that I am an old player who has played from 2012 to this year.
In a sense, this game should be outdated, but since cities xxl stopped updating in 2015, there is no game that can replace it, even the second generation of cities skylines.
There are some games similar to cities xxl on the market, but cities skylines 2 launched in 2023 is still too cartoony in terms of picture quality and building texture, and is even worse than cities xl 2011.
In the past ten years, I have witnessed the decline of cities xxl and the decline of xlnation, and now there are fewer and fewer mod updates.
Of course, the best result for this game is that it can launch a newer version, such as cities xxxl.
Or, I hope there will be a game on the market that can completely surpass it, and the Cities skylines series obviously did not do this.
For now, as a city builder, we can only continue to improve Cities XXL. I hope it can rise again and more players and mod makers will participate.
This is my feeling and hope as an old player.
