    In order to keep proportions, of river widths, harbors and such, to an accurate scale, a 10km x 10km area (the same size of an in game map) is the most a google map can cover. In fact, a little less than 10km will enhance/widen the river widths to a more "playable" size.

    Ok another thing, just out of this map topic, whenever I try to select the ferry mod, the cxxl hangs and ultimately I have to start over..... do you have any idea why this happens or how to overcome? As you said you said you like ports, so thought you must be using that ferry addon.....

    If you are speaking of this NEXL ferry mod... NEXL - Ferries ... It is incompatable with Cities XXL (2015).
    There are many Cities XL 2009-14 mods that are compatable with XXL and many that are not.
    There are a lot of discussions here in the forums about which ones are compatable, but many of them you will just have to test and find out if they work.

    Ok.... The transportation options could have been upgraded by the developers Focus in their newer versions,......but ok lets see if c xxxl comes with it or not.....
