Welcome to the city of Åleborg!

Åleborg is the capital of the Nørking Kingdom in the northern region of the planet. The city is the seat of the Nørking Parliament and the Royal Family and is also the nation's center for culture, media and economics.

Åleborg's trading history goes back to the 10th century. It was founded in the year 986AD by king Helmi the Great. The main part of Åleborghus, the old castle was constructed then and soon a settlement (today's old town of Åleborg) grew nex to the castle and became an important trading post of the northern realms. It is also believed that the first expedition to the new world left here at around 1085.

During the early 15th century trading became more and more important for the city. The old town grow too small, so a new town was created across the Åleborgsvik (Åleborg Bay), called Nyby. And another major era of growth set in around 1800, when Åleborg was finally made capital of the nation by King Søren III. Lots of industry started to establish and several new districts were founded in the style of other imperial cities...

A bit late to review, but I love the Scandinavian outlook, simply amazing! I just wonder whether the city has some cool black or death metal bands and some underground places for the fans of the genre : )

woah, 9th picture is amazing :) Great work.
One suggestion, try to use smaller trees mod cause i see most of the trees in your city is higher then buildings, and then you are losing " urban " feeling.
But if that was your intention then dont bother :)

Wow Kitsunebi, you have outdone yourself this time!

The city is beautiful and it looks very realistic, despite the fact that we do not have any Nordic buildings as mods. You still managed to recreate a city in Scandinavia really good and that is not easy with the current inventory of buildings, so hats off. Also I love how you respected the natural relief of the map :) The districts update is for sure very lovely too and I look forward to seeing more !!
