Nice CJ i can say ! :)
Beautifull town wtih some nice ideas ! I specially like the medicci garden, and the old town in castle area. I personally think that Arenzano is too small for 106 k poopulation but i quess density is high as f :D
You could also use more furniture for decorating plazas, at least one in the pictures, but nevertheless good building placement and nice creation overall ! ;)
Keep it up ! -

This is well worth the five stars. The level of detail is stunning and all buildings are chosen very carefully. Your road layout is awesome, your Medici's garden is awesome, your port is awesome and it's also one of the few cities of which I enjoyed reading the history.
Also I agree with what Kurtis said. We should automatically make a daily backup of this :p. -

It's quite the kind of city that I take pleasure in watching the pictures full of detail meticulously placed.
All the city is extremely realistic, the port and for me one of the best achieved,
dry docks are beautifully realized.
This garden is also a first, a true success, hedges, flowers, walkways, all is well done there.
This is to see cities like this one, I made mods,
then I hear the result with impatience!
However I regret that you are retired city contest!
Your city, a masterpiece!
A big BRAVO !-

Thank you, Drazic! I appreciate your appraisal for the harbour a lot.
The harbour was the structure I certainly invested the most time into. And not only into building, but also into researching information about all the things that are part of a harbour; of course, you need some berth for the ships, but again harbour also has drydocks, oil terminals, a passenger port, etc. ...
So I like when another master builder recognizes the hard work. Thx :)

Awesome detail
It's a shame you could not get your creation entered into the competition. -

Of course a 5. Excellent job, though I do wish you would have entered the challenge. This would have got one of my three.
I can't decide which photo is my fav right now. I always love your harbors, but I think some of the town building shots have me on this one.
You know I love terrace work, excellent job there too!
CJ can't be deleted right? Can we make it to where Kipate can't delete this later on? This one is too good.-
Author's Response
You... you know... yoouuuu...
I cannot delete a CJ. But I can edit it and just delete any content, which is basically the same.
Thx for your kind words :)

Wow thank you. It is quite an honour for me, as there are so many people who are better at editing than I am.

Very nice city. As already said, lots of details and efforts, your Medicis garden is awesome. I'm happy to see a city journal from you finally :)

Author's Response
Yeah, finally, dammit :) it took me longer than I thought it would. I am glad you like it.

A great city! Meticulous details all over the town and that is what makes it closer to realism. Medici Garden with all details is not only a tranquille recreational area, but a perfection of geometrical details.
I would raise one humble criticism though. Perhaps you could pay closer attention to the shorelines. Especially the transition from the "old" castle to the "very modern" harbour land seems to me a little bit away from reality. Perhaps there might have been some "old-looking" harbour buildings (available in the harbour pack beta), which would make the transition smoother.-
Author's Response
Hey, thank you are lot for yourself positive review. Regarding your criticism about the modern harbour being too close to the old town, I have to say that it is not uncommon for old cities to have their new ports near the center. For instance, look at the towns of Civitavecchia (Italy), Bastia (France), or even Samsun (Turkey). And there are old buildings in between, it is just that they cannot be seen from this perspective.

This is a great journal and i am very very happy to see one from Kipate. There some tiny things here and there that may need some fine tuning but overall it's a very well thought journal with great attention to detail, attention to background and story consistency and attention to an in-depth design. Awaiting to see more from this journal. Very well done and a well deserved 5*.

Detail, detail, detail! It's amazing how much you paid attention to the little things. They make this city extremely realistic!
The Medici Garden is really superb with that mountain as a backdrop but what I like most is your harbour area. All these little docks, dry docks, and the ferry terminal are just wonderful. I hope to see more of that (and I know there is more :) ) -

Old town, harbour, landmarks, gardens and huge effort...
When they are combined in the map, an artwork occures. -

Looks very cozy, beautiful and realistic. Fantastic work! It's very detailed too. The Medici Garden looks amazing!

Thanks a lot. It is a bit irritating that the garden is the most loved structure, and not e.g. the harbour or the hotel.
