Tutorial Building hexagonal cities

Very simple tutorial how to build hexagonal road layout.

    Today, reading the news feed, I saw an absolutely wonderful construction project of the city from scratch. It is called FREE City.
    Then I thought: what if I can realize something similar in the game?

    Well, as you can see the road structure is based on hexagon, rather on six equilateral triangles.

    It is pretty hard to construct it in the game because of game engine limits. The game can help you create 90 degrees and 45 degrees angle, but not 60 degrees.
    Although we can get help from trigonometry. By simple calculations we find out that to get an angle of 60 degrees, we need a right triangle with a cathetus side ratio 1/1,73. Increase it by 10 times and note that we can siply build a 10x17 rectanle (enough rough but simple to use).
    1) Drag the road and buid four 2x10 qarters.

    2) Add two parallel roads on the sides.

    3) Delete the lots.

    4) Build 17 lots on each branch.

    5) Lay down the roads, then remove the lots.
    [​IMG]
    6) Delete needless roads and join the corners of the future hexagon.

    7) Repeat on the other side.
