3ds max 2012 is gone from autodesk (educational)website and no longer available.
you could also search for an "inofficial" max2012 or do it xxl only with every .fbx format supporting software (like max2016); you can also ask someone who still has max2012 to export it compatible for all game versions for you
This is a very basic step by step tutorial for people who are willing to start 3D-Moddeling. It is not designed for people who already have basic knowledge in 3Ds-Max.

In this Part I i'll show you how to create the basic model (LOD4).
Im currently working on Part II. In this second part ill show you how to texture your LOD3-Model. But it might take some time. Please be patient.
PS: You dont need Photoshop, to create a normal map you can also use other tools you can find on the web.. i will update this and other things as soon as i have time for
