    History

Before the Austrian seizure, a native settlers established their tribal lands which named Raritan and Manahatta but suffered a struggle between Lenape, Pequot, and Iroquois as well as other native powers. With European exploration, Spanish explorer Sebastián Guillermo Gutierrez discover the land that named the land called "Tierra de Nueva Castilla y Leon" which encompasses the entire east coast of the United States which lasted from 1568 until 1624 where Dutch forces seize the Fort Guzman and San Santiago de Raritán which accounted for Spanish losses of colony to the Dutch with peace treaty signed which allows Dutch to relocate to lower tip of Manhattan which renamed as New Amsterdam which relocate the capital to lower tip of Manhattan and establish trade relations with natives and Catholic Lenapes and Raritans and Spanish settlers to remain despite transfer of capital to lower tip of Manhattan and by 1626, Spaniards began to help the Dutch in building the fort wall while others fled to upper parts. the Dutch exploited the hydropower of existing creeks by constructing mills at Turtle Bay (between present day East 45th- 48th Streets) and Montagne's Kill, later called Harlem Mill Creek (East 108th Street). In 1639 a sawmill was located in the northern forest at what was later the corner of East 74th Street and Second Avenue, at which African laborers cut lumber.

The New Amsterdam settlement increased to 600 even from former San Santiago de Raritán. In 1642 the new director-general Willem Kieft decided to build a stone church within the fort. The work was carried out by recent English immigrants, the brothers John and Richard Ogden. The church was finished in 1645 and stood until destroyed in the Slave Insurrection of 1741.

Sweden established their colony surrounding Philadelphia, but during the war, the Dutch had seized the colony which lasted until 1664 when England captured it's colony except remaining colony (incl. New Netherland and Beverwijck) which lasted until 1666.

When Austrian ships managed to reach Atlantic, a sudden raid led by Simon Schwarz which attacked Dutch forts and suddenly kill remaining forces and kill Governor Peter Stuveysant and seize government buildings. Johannes de Decker signed the terms of surrender which marked end of One-week war and cede New Netherland and Beverwijck (except Long Island) to Austria. Holy Roman Emperor renamed New Amsterdam to New Vienna and send its troops to guard against future invasions or rebellions or raids.

With Jewish population increases, but new wave of Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, and other Eastern European people are immigrated including French and Swiss settlers which built houses, churches, and architectural style buildings the population of the city reached to 1,820 people and wall completely demolished which allows further expansion and build new shipyards and palaces for Imperial families wanting to rest.

By 1723, a group of Japanese immigrants established their settlement at upper part of Harlem which named Takashimau which attracts Chinese, Indians, and Filipino settlers especially other Asian Christians and laborers which centered on Broadway which allows production of weapons and furniture. African slaves populated new towns which assists locals in working or employing them for economy. (NOTE: I decided to skip the explanation of long history of our city)
