Samville is the most populous city of the Empire of Brazil. Founded on November 20, 1592 under the name Fortress D. Samuel Monteiro, the city is the oldest in the country. Ceased to be the capital of the Empire on November 15, 1889, with the transfer of the official Empire headquarters to Rio de Janeiro.Com a population of 2.5 million, Samville is located in a canyon region, however, plan relief, what It provides a unique aspect of the city. The river that forms the canyons is the Rio Negro.

The town is 57 kilometers from the Empire Capital. The proximity and size, Samville accommodates many of the services of the imperial government, as the seat of the Brazilian Parliament, the fifth of Boa Vista, which is the summer residence of Emperor D. Pedro IV and the headquarters of some multinationals.
Across the river are some satellite towns, which have ended up losing by proximity autonimia and were incorporated into the jurisdiction of Samville, they are: Peterville and Bar of the City.
Over the past 25 years, the city has been undergoing a process of modernization. By order of the then Emperor D. Pedro III, the Prime Minister Ernesto Geisel began a series of works qeu vizam modernize and give fluidity to the city that is a national symbol. New and broad avenues, highways, sewer system, modern public transport and limiting the height of buildings, with the possibility of high-rise buildings only at the perimeter of the city center, this limitation aimed at preserving the historic buildings
