I present you the capital city of the country, where all my cities are located. The city isn't finished yet.
South Point is the capital city of the Northern Union Republic (N.U.R.). It's a town with ~330,000 inhabitants. As a capital, of course, it's very safe, clean and liveable. Mayor of the city is William Lloyd GREEN. The city itself may not be that attractive for tourists, only a few sights are located here. South Point also can't compete with the enormous economic power of CJ - Bay City or CJ - Coldwater for example, but indeed the capital is one of the most important cities in the world (only my world). Many far-reaching political decisions have been made here by the government.
The current Prime Minister is Cristin HIGGINS-COYNER, Conservative Federal Party (CFP).
History
After independence of the Northern Union Republic in 1873 the government of Prime Minister Carl HARETHOW thought about moving the capital from coastal Bay City more inland for better protection reasons. The political situation was unstable after the years of phosphate war, he feared further aggression against the new country, especially the coast. In that case he wanted to make sure to have a safe capital and a stable seat of government. Harethow found supporters in the policy for the plans soon.
He choose South Point, his birthplace, a small town with 6,000 inhabitants to be the new capital. Interior areas weren't well developed at that time. To connect the city to the populous, industrially high developed areas of the country he prescribed the construction of new railway lines and highways.Register or to view Spoiler content!
1900 the city already had a population of 50,000, 1930 110,000 and 1950 250,000. Due to the discovery of oil in 1956 the construction of the Refinery South Point began. Today oil industry is the biggest employer of the area.Register or to view Spoiler content!

The International Airport South Point - Miralton is the gate to the capital city. It's not the biggest one. There are about 17,000,000 passengers each year. The construction of the second runway was controversial. On the one hand the adjacent ground properties of the farmers were bought too cheap, on the other hand the runway reaches close to the residential area. The citizens sometimes protested violently, their land price fell. In Addition it was very expensive, because the hilly area had to be terraformed first.
Former mayor Peter SAMPSON resigned.
But it was necessary and the only joice for the city council instead of building a new airport.

The most inhabitants of South Point are living in the suburbs of the city. Land prices are overall very high.

Actually South Point has no metropolitan area, there is a rural landscape instead. Many industrial suppliers are located around the town.

This is the oil refinery of South Point. It is a significant economic factor of the area and a important located industrial company in the country with about 1,200 employees. It is in use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The owner is HP Inc. (Henderson Petrol).

From Cargo-Center-North South Points freight handling gets done, industrial goods are delivered by train and lorry. The Power Plant is an important producer of electrical power for the whole region. It exists since 1980 and has an annual generation of 20,000 GWh.

Thank you! The Miralton Tunnel was a bit tricky, i just built some elevated streets (no bridges) above the highway and filled up the grass and concrete areas above the highway by keeping pressed Shift+Arrow Up. That gives the illusion of tunneling the runways. For the mods you are asking for i'll have to take a look. I'm going to tell you later (Or meanwhile you can ask in the forums).
