Now Version 1.5 - All models now moved to T4 (exceptional) menu to avoid them growing in zones in CXXL as the NOZAC tag which prevents this in CXL is no longer functional in CXXL.

This is a pack of 6 models based upon the very large public housing estates in New York and other large US cities. The model is based loosely on the Grant Houses in New York which has 21 storey and 13 storey variants , both of which are included in the pack. The 3rd variant is a 6 storey model , which although not actually realistic in a New York context, I thought might be useful for those building lower level cities. This sort of 1960s style housing was built in almost every country. The buildings are not particularly pretty looking I will admit but I wanted to try to capture the atmosphere of these large scale estates. First requested by Snick 25 on page 18 of the Mod Request Thread.
All models are 80 x 80 real world scale , Variant 1 and 2 and can be found in the Residential - Unskilled - High Exceptional Menu. Variant 3 can be found in the the Residential -Skilled - Exceptional Menu and was requested by Dreian to help with recreating former Soviet cities . They must be individually placed and will not zone due to larger than standard footprint.
There are 18 models in total in the pack. Single tower with carpark in 21 , 13 and 6 storey versions. Double Tower with no parking in 21, 13 and 6 storey versions in patch 01 making 6 models.
The other 6 models in patch 02 are direct copies but in a much lighter dull concrete render. This texture variant has been requested by several members of our community. Patch03 has 6 more copies in plain white brick, not much difference from No2 when viewed from distance , but close up looks slightly smarter and a little less depressing.
NB this model uses baked nightlights on the 2nd UV channel (with thanks to Montoto and his excellent tutorial) and therefore needs the Enhanced Shader by Altiris as a prerequisite in order to show properly in the game. This shader is awesome and makes an incredible difference, plus it means I was a able to do a non repeating lighting pattern on the towers which is far more realistic.
LOD COUNT: Model1 21 Storey Single Tower LOD1= 3187 , LOD2 = 2609, LOD3= 1991, LOD4 = 150
Model2 13 Storey Single Tower LOD1=2140, LOD2=1712, LOD3=1370, LOD4=150
Model3 6 Storey Single Tower LOD1=1800. LOD2=1608, LOD3=1040, LOD4=150
Model4 21 Storey Double Tower LOD1=5046, LOD2=4680, LOD3=3521, LOD4=240

Model6 6 Storey Double Tower LOD1=3606, LOD2=3240, LOD3=2081, LOD4=240
UPDATE: 15.01.13 All patch files upgraded to V1.1 to correct a problem with an incorrectly placed plug on the single tower models which caused them not to place correctly making the entrance appear in the garden to the game engine which will problems with gameplay as the citizens living there will not be able to get to work. With thanks to Sokayha for noticing this .
UPDATE: 12.01.13 Plain White Brick for Skilled Workers as requested by Dreian for the recreation of former Soviet block style cities.
