Bay Of Islands City Building Competition 2018

Now railway trench looks much better. If you want to create a park try to build some paths.
An easy way is to build the path with the use of pedestrian path. Just build some pedestrian path connected to the road. Then fill in the space with plaza. The next step is to delete the paths and replace them with another plaza. A more complicated version is to choose the pedestrian path after you have filled the space with the first plaza and make them smaller. The remaining space is filled with what type of plaza you want, after which you delete the pedestrian path and fill it with another type of plaza. Thereby creating a path with edge. Hope you understand from pictures.

I think the way the building are sorted may require more care. Just an opinion it feels like a big communist worker camp this way.

I have turned one of the crappiest region in the city into a spotlight part! Woohoo!
Though it's not perfect, I think it will be ready for submission after some final decorations.

 

Good job! I just wonder whether this is the entire city you are going to submit for the competition

 

Actually not. My whole city actually include the main city, the port&industry area, the airport, and the scenery area. The main city is small, but the whole project is much bigger.

 

The submission post has been open for more than a week, but nobody is submitting their cities. I got the pics ready and will have a final double check tomorrow night and then I'll definitely submit.

Well, I would like to apologise as I was not able to make it to the end for the competition.
Not surprisingly, real life issues did not leave much spare time. To be honest, I am still filling the Floro map from the previous competition.

 

Haven't made my time to create cities in the previous competititons except St. Martin Island organised in 2016, however I might take in the next contest. At least I hope so
