    Icy, did you mention something about changing providers eventually. If so that should hopefully put an end to the warnings due to an IP change.

    Oh, sorry mate, I overlooked that. That's good news. ....just enabled Avast and googled xlnation.net and there are 5 red X's indicating that this site is unsafe. You're still being blocked.

    Avast sucks for this very reason. Just use MS security essentials and malwarebytes. I have for years and have never had any crap on my computer.

    Yeah, it's a great feature. Will make moderator's jobs easier and save everyone's eyes from being assaulted by people who are keyboard-disabled.

    This is an up-to-date report on the safety of XLN's url. Please note that “No alerts detected”. This is good, yet Avast blocks XLN in Google Chrome and Firefox browsers. Any marketing person will tell you this is a negative. You do not want any negative publicity period. I contacted Avast via their on-line contact form to report the false positive. I doubt that I will get a response. Besides, I'm only a vagabond now (LOL). Contact should be made by someone in authority, namely, Hyperwolf, who is owner of the website, and have XLN removed from the Avast's block list.

    UPDATE:

    1. Email is now working with XLNation.

    What does this mean? Well you can now be emailed notifications of any topics, resources, and threads you may be following to let you know something has changed. You can do all this from the "Watch Thread" menu option or "Watch this Resource" menu option.

    This also means that all users moving forward have to provide a valid email address to register at XLNation.

    I've noticed an impact of the email system going live. The forum is a bit slow. Even FTP to the patch folder took longer

    CPU Load average is 0.04 0.15 0.20, seems to be purring, lets see if it gets better. Personally I have not noticed a slowdown

    Probably just me then. I'm back on my dinosaur dual core since my quad core died. Got a nice PC lined up and should have it next week.
    I have noticed in the past on xenforo, a slight change in performance when the emails are going out left right and center. It was on a shared hosting though.

    Regarding chat,

    Sometimes it randomly seems to "eat" messages. For me, sometimes my messages don't appear until I send another message.

    And a sound notification would be awesome.
