road lights.jpg Hi, I need your help with the street lamps. I'm using the Japan Road Texture mod on Cities XL Platinum and I really dislike the street lamp design. It absolutely doesn't fit with in the city. Is there any way to substitute the lamps with the nice ones by monty's furniture dependancy pack or other nice designs. How can I do that? What is to change?

    Thank you for your help,

    Flow

The easiest way would be making a patch file that replaces the original .class file of that street lamp for one that points to the model you'd like to replace it with. The only downside of this is that it will replace that lamp everywhere in the game for the one you choose, not just in that particular road.

To replace the model in that particular road or road set, you'd have to modify all the road layout files from that mod that point to that streetlamp's class file.
