Doesn't work with Cities XXL (2015).
After clicking on the icon, the area cursor appears for half a second then it changes to the terraform cursor.
I think you can make it work just by changing the icon location on the menu.

I managed to change the icons location with the help of Cities XL PakUnpak, here are the steps.
    1. Unpack the mod with Cities XL PakUnpak.
    2. Navigate to <unpacked folder>\data\design\buildings\construction\plaza\
    3. Open each of these files in notepad or other text editor program.
    4. Change the 3rd line from: <Tag>MS18;GemCity;Terraform;Decoration</Tag> to: <Tag>MS18;GemCity;Areas;Decoration;Nature</Tag>
    5. Compile the data folder with Cities XL PakUnpak.
    6. Replace the old version with the new one.
That is it, now the icons should be with the other plazas.

A mod, such as this one, subscribed to at Steam...
should it update automatically if it has been moved into a sub-folder (mods categorized by author)?

I think it will update automatically on steam if I add a new file, but it might get placed in Paks/Mods/ or whatever destination the author specifies.

You are correct sir. Based on your last update to the dig tool:

Steam updates are placed (typically) in the Packs/Mods folder and do not reach sub-folders.
Steam's user settings ~/path/~ options allow downloads to different drives, but are not folder specific.

see...old dogs can learn new tricks.

So, I need to continue monitoring my mods closely so I don't end up with .patch files that may cinflict with each other.
That's ok, I prefer to get mods here at XLNation and manually install them.
Thanks for the feedback...and the great mods too.

Nice work, nicko. This tool is a must have.
About the menu location: shouldn't be in the terraforming options?

yep but it doesn't work in that menu for XXL that is why it is now in Decoration - Areas.
Just use the Custom Content button to filter them.

I find the "raise" is too big. I would like one the raises only one level instead to two.
