Migration/xlex Reupload

    I guess we now have to decide which threads/forums should be migrated and which not?

    Also we should discuss about the xlex reupload. How should we handle that?
    (Asking original authors would be a first step. Incase they wouldn't answere we could create a account for those mods) what do you think?

    btw. If you think we shouldn't make another thread for that and discuss that in this one, just tell me

    This really shouldn't be an issue. The moderators have the option to "Reassign" the resource (that is what its called here) to a new owner at any time. So those that show up here could easily get control back.

    Sorry but yes. Also would be a good idea as you examine each Mod to download the images then re-upload to the local server. I noticed looking at a few MODS lots of broken links where photos used to be. If photos were hosted locally, then no missing images. :LOL: You also need to edit any URLS that go to the old XLNation and point them to the new XLNation. Now is it starting to sink in the complicated nature and why a migration would create problems with this?

    This may also help:

    Max Filesize you can upload is 80MB
    Max Photo size is 4MG or 2200 x 1600 pixels

    Sorry for sounding ignorant. But is this just downloading the mods and reuploading them here?

    If that's the case then I can just do some of my maps from the last year. My early ones sucked.

    We should probably work out who does what. Otherwise we might end up uploading the same mods.

    Yeah that's true...maybe we'd be given the pages what we need to repload, eg. someone would be uploading pages 1-10, others 60-73 etc

    Ok I guess we go to do what got to do.
    I can upload my mods, as I fine time, also be good to know mods are assigned to the correct modder if someone else is uploading those mods. I guess that will happen eventually by the moderators!

    There is a place holder XL Nation Staff user now that can be assigned "Resource Owner" for mods

    What about the modding index? Do we compile some of the more popular mods and upload them here. Some are very good.
