I'm in stitches. LOL. But not Chelyabinsk.

 

But it is rather close to Chelyabinsk.

And it is one of the most polluted places on earth.

 

Kipate, you are too good at this game. I am impressed. But you have stolen two of my clues. The city is 2000k from Chelyabinsk.

Do you mean 2000 kilometres or do you mean 200 km?
In case you do mean 2000 kilometres, then I was wrong
and it was just a freaking coincidence that the city I had in mind
has some views that look 99.99% the same like the real Mystery City.

 

I mean 2000 kilometers, which keeps it on the same continent, which in my mind makes it close. I thought you had figured it out. The mystery city is, as you see, very polluted.

 

Okay, so maybe to avoid further confusion.
My guess was Magnitogorsk, Russia.
You had shown a lot of industry-related photos, so I thought
of the town having to be a large industrial center...

And one must say it looks very similar:


The whole city basically looks like this, so you could go ahead and find an area where you have an
almost equal scenery to what you show in the photos.

 

Yes, I see what you mean. I thought the view of the city I chose was more unique, because of the mountains in the background. Guess not.

 

Well, got some other cities on top of my checklist, so I should find it anyways soon

 

Okay, found it:
It is Norilsk, one of the most polluted places on earth,
and the most polluted place within Russia, Magnitogorsk only being the fifth-most polluted place.

Norilsk is also the northernmost city in the world with a population >100k.

Both Kipate and Facaden are the Mystery City masters, whatever cities you give 'em, they'll find out what it is.
I heard Facaden, when he was active in this game, didn't even got a single one wrong.

Peter? He is great at city guessing but I don't think he is that good compared to those two(sorry....)

 

Nah, I don't think I could somewhat compete with Facaden, he is simply better than anyone at this game.

 

Okay, next Mystery City: what, large ships next to the downtown

 

Nope, and well, the city has less inhabitants than Swansea has.

Hmm now that city is pretty hard. I have no idea...so a random guess, Belfast?
