    Edinburgh? Thats the only city I can think of that was a capital of a smaller kingdom now part of a bigger one and also not located near the Mediterranean.

    Oh so you mean the city is not beside the Mediterrean. I thought you meant the country. I know that Spain has a king. Thats why UK was the only thing in my head. :p
