    I use the Beach Stones mod by Uokiok a lot but there is one thing that has always bugged me. It can not be placed over roads or plazas.

    I just went on a mission and overhauled the mod (also removed some files also that had nothing to do with the mod) to make it so it goes over anything. I basically rewrote the class files so the stones act like trees. I think I got everything OK.

    Now you can place the stones on top of water plazas/roads or anything you choose to. You can now also adjust the height (excuse my weird creation in the image)

    Works in XXL!

    Updated: made a boo boo with the layer select.

    Hi there Skullz. Nice idea!
    Can we keep stones we have placed with old mod in our cities?
    Or should we delete them first, before changing to this version?

    You can keep the old ones. All I did was change how the stones are placed. The internal filenames are the same.

    Did a quick mod of Luis Diogo's stone plaza sets last night as I needed some flat plazas for my city I've been playing around with. I had an area to fill where the normal plazas kept creeping up to the road. I like his plazas so went to work and adjusted them so they are flat.

    The patches can be used along side his normal stone plaza set as I renamed the necessary files so they don't clash.
    I ended up doing both sets as I needed one of the plazas in the second set.

    Menu location is the same as his normal plazas so you can find them.

    I put the version I made into my mods folder but have not tried it yet. I will test it next and see if it's OK.

    He he, I will post the new updated livestock farm filler for XXL a bit later.I forgot the normal wooded forest grass so will do one for it today.
    Spent most of yesterday updating plaza mods and testing.

    I have a question about the plazas
    Between "Cities XL" version and "Cities XXL"
    Have you found differences in code writing files ".Class" and ".layout"?

    To get XL plazas to not crash XXL, I made this modification to the .class files.
    Change this XL 3 digit numbers to 2 digit number close to +-40:
    <SurfaceOperation>
    <bla---bla---bla>
    <bla---bla---bla>

    <ExpandWidth>40</ExpandWidth>

    They seem to work good now.
    I am just an amateur modder so I am sure other modifications could/should be made also.

    Just the expand widths and tag files. Like ronrn mentioned. Have not had a plaza crash yet with the 40 setting.

    After making the flat water plazas I found boats can't be placed on them. I have made adjustments to @nicko2u sailboat mod so they can be placed anywhere. Same as I did to the beach stones. I have also done GlobexCo Boats and they are in the resource area.

    Hi Skullz.
    Just a suggestion, but maybe it would be easier when we need to place boats if both patches you have just released were in the same menu location. It seems this one is going to the beach and the other to commerce.
    Personally i would rather have them on the beach location, but most importantly i think it would be more user friendly if they can be at the same place.

    Reason I did not change them is due to not being my mods. The menu locations are as GlobexCo and Nicko made them.
    You don't have to delete previously placed boats from their original patch files because I left all the internal file names the same.

    Hi there Skullz
    I know you've been trying my plazas and i wonder if the darkening problem still persists.
    Anyway, i can't find a solution, but since you've been working with lots of plazas, i'm sending you some textures that worked well in XL.
    Some are from my plazas but a couple are from other experiments i made in XL and never released.

    Maybe the original textures will help. In the file you can find a folder with the textures and another one with the dds files, one for plaza with trees and other for plaza with no decorations, meaning 2 dds files for each texture.

    If you can find some way to bring them into XXL would be great. Here's the link to download the textures:
