@Puss in boots Ain't sure if it's because of the color, I just loved the cleansing atmosphere at yours, buildings and roads are placed very neatly. Same for @chenchaun , very consistent and precise in building selection as usual. :sneaky:

@Kurtis Edwards Gotta appreciate your effort poured in the city. I can see there's a lot of transportation involved, a potential candidate for the railroad/network medal I think. (ps: don't you think the runway is a bit over?) (y)

@Wibi Always loved seeing Japanese city in this game, can't say much on yours yet 'cause I can see only screenshots of separate areas, but I'm sure you can pull off just fine. (y)

@XOUSTE I'm surprised you took the European route, that differed from your previous materials really. Impressive for now, can't wait to see what it turns out.

@IcyHot Appears to me more of Maryland than Oregon, because of the relatively 'tender' hills and fields. Good work nonetheless. :sneaky:

Good for me the deadline is set in April, I'd like to participate once I'm done with my assignments and project. Gonna extend my Istanbul-ish experiment on this map.

Fisher's Landing Continues to grow, now up to 16,000 population. I think you can see the direction I am moving and the categories I hope to compete in successfully. Sadly I am encountering lots of lag already with these farms and trees. I run on a pretty fast computer with a GTX 970 Graphics card as well. Still lots of time to fine tune the roads, (especially the RHM), and farms.

The town is based on the idea of the old US Highway system (1920s to 1950s) running through town while the more recent interstate system (1950s to Current) bypasses the town along the outskirts. Of course typical American Gas Stations, Motels, and Fast Food pop up along the freeway exits. Sadly the majority of the travelers on the Interstate will never experience the town and the local food. The homogenization of America continues.

Stuff I wish I could do:
    1. Use the On Street Parking mod. Sadly on one way streets it puts the cars up on the sidewalk.

Hmmh, why no little marina, @IcyHot ?
And well, the rule is always to build the city, then embellish,
but I can understand doing it the other way round :p :)

First of all, stunning highways, very good, seems you have already a lot of knowledge :)
Second of all, that modern quarter on the left side looks quite appealing from above, very well planned!
Third and last, the CBD so far looks a bit disappointing: would have wished for some other skyscrapers, that in-game one is quite tall, and the nightlights are not that nice. Also, I would have wished for the buildings standing closer to each other, but just my personal opinion ;)

Edit: maybe use one of that nice bridges by @Mr.X² as a highway bridge :)

That is one complicated city, can't wait to see how things would look once it takes shape. Most of the journals so far based their city center more towards the east of the map, but you seem to go on the other direction and gone dead central. How interesting! Didn't recognize that it was the same map for a second!

As of now, if there were an award for the 'Most fortified city' you'd take the cake! lol

    now i just finished CBD
well this Europe city is totally different from any other cities i guess lol...
there might be way too much high-rise buildings at the central of this city, but i think those buildings make the city looks modern instead of old style.
it's like CBD at London ,Paris and Moscow ,but well ,not totally like the same.this is Xouste's style lol;)

Interesting city concept, @XOUSTE! I am really curious how the finished city will look like with those walls!

@XOUSTE, get rid of that ginormous church - it is out of proportion and looks very strange. Substitute it with St. Mary's, or the one by nicko (can't remember the name). It will make it look much more natural

Seems to be more interest/participation in the competition this time.
Some great looking projects so far! Keep it up guys/gals.(y)
Also nice to see folks doing entire cities (I refrain from using the word "completed").:)

    This competition sounds fantastic!

Time doesn't seem to be enough to me, my previous city New Eden has been basically completed, but my new city Catalyst Glass has just begun construction... I need to work harder and more faster.o_O

Hi. There are a lot of different type of cities with different map layout - thats amazing and more interesting than Bootledge river competition. Thanks to Funky, The Inlet is masterpiece.
Kurtis´s and Wibi´s cities are really beautiful, my favorites.

I am building city for the competition too. It is an european city. Location of the city may be the north of France. It is called Havenlouis.
    There is my preview:

Looks totally awesome, @Kaiman! Congratulations! That castle-like complex with those labyrinths and gardens is absolutely topclass quality.
