@David Anson , those buildings are offices, so they need workers and give income afterwards (but only if you have a good living quality nearby and enough passenger capacity).

But are you David Anson, whom I quoted? And the roads are the American Roads, you can choose them before starting a new game ;)

I wish that the building labeled as "&b_ind_jhc_t3", which I assume is the John Hancock Tower, would generate more tax income. Instead of the normal 691 C generated by most of the other buildings in this pack the JHC only generates a wimpy 35 C. That's when placed right next to other choices in this pack so it has the same basic service levels as the other buildings. I think one only generates 401 C in my test. Nice to have all buildings generating the same tax income, hopefully nice and high.

It's not very hard to learn how to change things like that to your liking in the ".class" files. ;)

    ronrn,
Right now I'm thinking modding building attributes is above my paygrade. I found that the "Modding" feature in the program doesn't work and am unsure which program to use to change building attributes. Not sure if Notepad will do the trick.

All you need to edit .class files is:
Notepad++ (it is a free DL)
    and
    CitiesXL PakUnpak
download link: Free (click on "download thru your browser")
    MEGA

It's an easy program to use for compressing/uncompressing .patch files.

    ronrn,
I'll give this a try but am rather afraid of screwing things up and knowing what to edit. Thanks for the help. I just hope it's obvious which attributes are which.

Screwing things up is big part of the learning process.
Just be sure to use a test city to try them out in.
