    Hey, it`s been over two month since my last post. Unfortunately my notebook broke some time ago. Now I restored all the data - including the CXL-files. And I am in the mood for some modding again. So I continue working on my "US Suburb Pack". A few words about it: The mods are influenced by Los Angeles architecture. My long term goal is to create six mods - and to do a re-colored version of each mod, to add some variety. So you get 12 buildings in total. And two top secret extra mods to spice up the suburbs ;) I think that`s doable. All mods have a low triangle count and will be modded on a 20x40 meter base. They blend in nicely with the "US Downtown Pack".

    I already finished two and the third is almost done. Here is a peek on building #3. Enjoy!

    Will the final grass textures/colors come close to Monty's 40x20 house pack? Only asking as I think these will be an awesome addition to them and really spice up the suburbs.

    The grass textures are from the HongKong map :) Are you thinking about the mississauga suburban homes? It`s a dark green

    Yeah that's the one. I'll have a look at the Hong Kong textures as I haven't used that map for a while. I nearly did last night as I took a break from my current city and started playing around with a more European one.

    @skullz613: I copied the ground texture from a screenshot I took of the HK-map. As you are a skilled map-maker: How do I export the textures of a map? Can you fetch me the textures?

    If you unpack XL or XXL, go to the ground folder which is is data\gfx\landscape\textures
    You will see some files named grass_01 to grass_10. One of them would of been used for the map. I'm not sure which one but from memory the grass is a bit darker on the map.

    Just had a thought. Have a look in this folder,

    data\gfx\landscape\materials

    And open hongkong_mat01.xml with a text editor. Think it should help a bit more.

    Still waiting to see these so called American cities of yours. You have been saying the same thing for a few years but never post screens or a CJ.

    I found these settings in the XLN-Forums:
    "Grid and Snap Settings": "grid spacing = 0,1 meters"
    "System Units": metric system "meters" and "1 unit = 1 centimeters"

    Now the mod isn`t stretched or huge anymore, but it`s very tiny :D
