So, it's been a while since I posted here..
Anyways, I would just like to share this city that I'm currently working on...

City name: Francheska
Map: Explorer's Valley by XOUSTE

working title is "bucktown" but its going to be an european city...

1) thanks again! i love to build wall to wall blocks and in a european style city its a must.
i want to take it to a "higher level" in future and mix the buildings a little bit wilder because its a little bit too clean now... (just think of the bombings in ww2 or modernisations of whole blocks within (old) existing road-layouts, etc...)
a handy hint for w2w beginners: always start with the corners, then fill the gaps!

2) [and 6)] thaaaaanks again!! ^^ as you can see im not planning the whole road layout of a city beforehand... so its like the city is growing naturally... but i also noticed a lack of small roads too! the current road layout is too car friendly..european cities arent like that...need to consider how im going to change that now...

3) Thaaaaahaaaaanks XD i always start with rhm to build a city highway / ring road around the (imaginary) inner city...after that i add regular highways or some sort of feeder roads...
i also add the railroads before beginning with simple roads

4) as i wanted to create a european city i (only) avoided to build too much skyscrapers...
i can imagine that a lot of people dont like to see (well known) buildings from different countries inside ONE city...
so i dont give too much attention to the original function of a building but try to place buidlings where they fit...
...its possible that its too much anyway... perhaps im going to clean it out a little bit too... but overall im satisfied as long as im not going to place oriental buildings like taj mahal if youknowwhatimsayyyyyn

I'm fucking drunk, but i gotta say you are all awesome. Xlnation is an awesome community. The amount of passion and work you put into your cities. You are a great if not slightly odd breed. I appreciate the amount of work all of you content creators do. All of the models you spent months creating is well appreciated. So yes this is what we Americans do when we're drunk. When you Europeans are drunk you try to apologize to your ex girlfriend, In America we go onto the nearest esoteric forum and spew gratitude.
