Greetings XL Nation. This is Mornesse. (U/C)
I've started my new city project, about %5 is completed . I'm thinking to assign as the capital city in my fictional country. Some buildings or plazas were placed temporarily, they will be removed in further progress. If you have any suggenstions or critics, feel free to say.

 

@selodinger in my opinion ( what if learned so far) is that modern parts of the wide city center use straight road layout, not curved like you have it in some parts. They dont need to be orthogonal but make sure they are in straight line. Also, bigger avenues are ok to be curved on some points. so thats ok. Curved smaller streets are more for old city center and low density suburbs ( for most of the time, ofc there are exceptions ). And for building choice i find it ok, just make sure you dont mix " tropical style " buildings with "continental style " if you know what i mean.
Density is great, keep it up, that defines parts of the city.
Overall, looks nice for now, just be carefull for street grid as i said before
