    The old warehouse - shopping center & dockhouses

    In the medieval period the romans build a lot of warehouses for goods. Some still remain. The largest is near the old inner city wall. The oldest still remaining city wall. Pics of the wall will follow later. The warehouses are build against the wall and are the largest. Nowadays these warehouses form a popular shopping area in the city with a lot of small boutiques. On the other site of the city are smaller warehouses, the dockhouses.
