CITY CANALS UPDATE 07-01-2015
The New Canal, The Stadtholderbridge, The Prince`s Canal
The Romans digged the canals in the city to provide the citizens easily of food and goods. The Nieuwe Gracht (New Canal) and the Prinsengracht (Prince`s canal) are connected - The Stadhoudersbrug (Stadtholdersbridge) is the border between these to canals. The bridge is formed by house, the canal runs beneath the houses. For more pictures see the overview tab under CANALS
