Vranje is a very new settlement emerging in the mid-1950s. Apart from some residential districts on the shoreline, the district was almost non existent.

Stara Luka
Literally meaning "Old Port," the district is small district comprised of mostly dockyard workers.

Montižana
This is the historical Latin Quarter of the city. With the historical heritage of Venice and the short-lived Turkish culture, the quarter is a low-density district hosting mostly middle and upper middle classes.
The district is popular thanks to the historical rivalry between the Venetians and the Ottomans. Even though the Ottoman remnants are no more present, the mosque was turned into a museum in the early 19th century.

Novi Grad
The downtown of the city. With the mid-rise buildings, the quarter is the centre of business affairs as well as the upper middle and upper classes.

Oroslavje
The district was recently incorporated to the metropolitan Ardemića. Before that, it was a suburban district. The southern quarters were developed in the 1960s in a massive urbanization. Today, the northern parts follow a similar urbanization path.
