Cities XXL Can't create a new city

    Wait, I think the real problem is about steam synchronizing mods, now I can make it work after putting back mods gradually and steam ask me which option I wanted, download from the cloud or upload from the local folder... once I choose the upload the game is now working normal, though I yet have to put the maps folder back.

    I don't have any steam's subscripted mod... but now everything is back to normal. Except for one thing, I cannot load a city that I have been player for a year. Guess the reason is that the slot for the map has changed, I'll try to create a new city with the same map and copy the contents of the old one to the saved folder.

    Post the log file for when you tried to load this city. It may have a clue as to why it will not load.

    If you don't use a map then don't leave it in the mods folder.
