Cities XXL City Won't Load

    Hi all. My city recently stopped loading (Cities XXL). It gets to the loading screen and the status bar goes about 75% and then stops. It doesn't load any of the city data as well. I tested other cities I have and they open as normal. I have not installed any mods recently. I do have a ridiculous amount of cash flow and I think I read somewhere if it gets too high the city won't open. Is this true? Is there a way I can edit a file to change the cash flow figure? Thanks in advance.

    Not sure about the money issue you mention.

    And after you do what skullz613 told you, try to empty the shadercache folder, enter the game, load another city or empty map, wait a few moments quit to the main menu and then try to load the city. In the future try to use 2 or 3 file for saving. Sometimes a previous save work.

    Hi. Sorry, but how do I find the crash log? Also it doesn't crash. It just freezes and then I have to restart my computer cuz I can't close it. And Project_Oz, I tried that and it didn't work, but thanks for your help.

    Not 100% sure but you could have a non compatible XL mod that you may of only recently started using. I had an old XL Chinese building in my mods folder for years without using it and a few months ago tried it to have the game crash. Some old mods will sit there quite happy until you use them.
    That <Data/Shader/#.fx> not found. bit has my puzzled as I've only seen the error in XL. Could be that an old XL mod is in your mods folder calling upon the shader. Not sure if it would lead to a crash though, or a freeze in your case.
    Make sure you have XXL compatible versions of any old XL mods.

    XXL, I have the same problem. Played for years and have hundreds of hours. It wont load on my brand new machine. Last time I played was a few months before on the previous machine.

    Says I need to add all the Mods. I don't even recall downloading a Mod. Its possible a long time ago I guess.

    Using Steam. Right now I am downloading and installing XL. To see if that helps.

    Otherwise, how would I find out what Mods I may have downloaded a long time ago?

    If your using steam then make sure you have unsubscribed to any XXL mods you may have used in the workshop

    Go to the XXL workshop to see what files you are subscribed to. Under the heading Your Workshop Files click on Your Files and a drop down list will show. See example below.

    If you are subscribed to any they will be listed.
    Click on the Unsubscribe From All button to clear them
