Thanks for your inspiring advice, @nicknick .

First of all, it is still over a month to go. I will not have that much time left in October, and I sincerely hope it will be enough to change textures regarding the castle area. Also, thank you for your advice regarding the walls, I guess I never knew how to apply textures in a steeper angle. I now recognize that the grassy texture below the castle walls was applied way too smooth. You have such eagle eyes, nicknick.

Stone or grass texture, that's the question: well, I would love to see a texture that somewhat combines both, to be fair. The light stone texture would probably look fantastic with the distinct black menhirs, I can really see how people will love that the textures are not melting.

Corsica and the Isola Gorgona were the idols for my city. But I guess they are not famous enough to be well-known. Well, they are unfortunately not having smoothly transitioning beaches everywhere. And yeah, I know that I will never be able to recreate the whole scenery, no matter how many menhirs and rocks and stone textures I will use. But I can try to give it a certain look. Thank you for your advice, maybe I should look for American beaches, I hope people know the American beaches; what do you think?

The sand texture is part of the Total Greenery Mod.

And of course you are absolutely right regarding the things to be plopped over water. It will surely take me ages to do so.

Thank you for your precious advice :)

I agree with you for the beach, those rocks everywhere look a bit weird. But many castles have grass like that in their foundations because the grass recovered the rocky part during centuries...
The sand texture is in this mod Plazas - Palm Trees Decoration Area :)

That's a huge city. Everything's great but I reckon the water doesn't fit the landscape at all, the color of it looks way too 'tropical' and doesn't feel like that of a metropolis. Just get rid of the cyan, have it darkened and I believe it'll look twice better.

Nah mate every single entry should be done individually, I'm sure you can do that on your own. Besides, I'm not really going full PS barrage this time. Some colour adjustments perhaps, but I don't think I'm doing nightshots like I did for the last one. Btw I've seen some screenshots from you on sccn the other day, very impressive.

    Submitted. Your turn, guys:
I hope you all submit, to quite some Hollywood actor:
    "Just do it!"

On a side note: what were the idol cities and places for my own city?
Well, I wanted to place a fictional island next to the Italian peninsula, about 60 kilometres away from Livorno. Hence, regarding the island's characteristics (what kind of trees, etc. ...) I tried to resemble the Corsican coast, as Corsica is the next big island.

The idol cities regarding the city's architecture and structure have been:
For the port: Ancona and Olbia, both Italy (Ancona for the container port, Olbia for the ferry port)
For the castle: Calvi, France (famous castle there)
    For the town:
Mostly Ancona, I guess you can notice that I laid out a similar network with a long avenue leading almost straight from the harbour to the square with the Nelson's Column. Also, the lepra station with its octagonal shape quite resembles the one in Ancona.

See you at the end of October ;)

    Nice submission kipate (y)
City looks good, some great details are there :)

Btw. would be great if everyone put 11 th picture with street grid ( night shot with traffic on ), so there could be 1 more category to compete for (y)

Thank you. Not sure about the traffic shots. If you do it as I did, the progress of the city will be quite slow, and hence the traffic concepts may not fully work. Also, sometimes the game engine outrules your aesthetic roundabout and makes it all red, whereas in realitiy, roundabouts mostly tend to cover traffic better.
