Maybe for sake of realism, but what about laying down the six lane avenue
in front of the runway such that it would run below the runway, regarding height level?
Though I in general would say it was a bit dangerous when there was a nuclear power plant
in the landing zone of an airport

Here it is! my Leytonstone. My second city ever, and very first one using mods, which often leads to meltdown of brain I started to work on the city about three weeks ago after I discovered XLNation (here, thank to all who are making it happen! well done)

A.8 Industrial, Military, and Transportation Facilities
Accidents at present or projected nearby industrial, military, and transportation facilities may affect the safety of the nuclear power station.

Potentially hazardous facilities and activities within 8 km (5 mi) and major airports within 16 km (10 mi) of a proposed site should be identified. If a preliminary evaluation of potential accidents at these facilities indicates that the potential hazards from shock waves and missiles approach or exceed those of the design basis tornado for the region, or potential hazards such as flammable vapor clouds, toxic chemicals, or incendiary fragments exist, the suitability of the site should be determined by detailed evaluation of the potential hazard.
The acceptability of a site depends upon establishing that (1) an accident at a nearby facility or route will not result in radiological consequences that exceed the dose set forth in 10 CFR 50.34, or (2) the accident is sufficiently unlikely to occur that it poses no undue risk, or (3) the nuclear power station can be designed so its safety will not be affected by the accident.

The identification of design basis events resulting from the presence of nearby hazardous materials or activities in the vicinity of a nuclear power station is acceptable if the design basis events include each postulated type of accident for which a realistic estimate of the probability of occurrence of a potential dose in excess of that set forth in 10 CFR 50.34 exceeds approximately 10-7 per year.

I guess we all love a nuclear plant or two next to our landing strip just for the sake of realism and perfection, I would be careful about the planes' wingspans, it might be a bit hard to taxi and park with big planes... but that's just me being picky

Aha, it's my second time to build the DIY Airport ,exactly. Looking good but not the details of this airport. I believe that more and more nice airports coming soon!
