Got about 40,000 people. This is my first CBD. Threre are farms and a small town to the left across the river. I'm going to do another CBD a bit bigger than this one on this side of the river. Need some buses first, traffic is horrid. This is the most fun I've had playing this game. :D

    Ok, I have three questions.

“City Builders must submit up to 10 photos by February 1, 2015, for judging.” So a total maximum of 10 and a minimum of… one.

    1. You can actually compete by submitting one single photo. Correct?

    2. But if you post eleven or more then you are disqualified. Correct?

“Submit up to 10 Photos in an official posting by February 1, 2015.”

    3. What is an "official posting", is it a posting on this very thread or each one has to start his own new thread?

In my opinion, creating own threads would be better. You can view pics of all participants in order, don't need to spend a lot of time reading through a one whole "spammed" thread.

    Here are the answers:

    1. Yes

    2. Yes

    3. I will create an "Official" Thread for Posting your Submissions for Judging. At the beginning of January 2015. Each participant will submit their photos in one post. Anyone posting comments or other things in that thread will be deleted to reduce clutter. Cities can win more than one prize. We still have to figure out the judging. Do we want a community vote or a 5 judge panel to decide?

On February 1, 2015 the thread will be opened for anyone in the community to comment or cheer on their favorites and additional photo submissions will NOT be considered.

If you submit your photos early but then in a stroke of genius create something better you can request your older submission to be deleted. No submissions after January 31st will be considered

Okay here is an update after my weekend binge building. I don't anticipate any office construction needed for at least another 30,000 in population growth. I suspect these are the last of the office towers going up.

Hey @IcyHot , looks very good!
I would suggest you to maybe place some small marinas
in the little proliferations of the river, with e.g. gbojanic's Piers Mod.
And maybe also place some of the American Houses that are in-game
onto the river... would look more realistic, as rivers are always "in use" :)
And remember that you don't need to place some of the rural roads next to the farms,
some can be deleted afterwards and you can place forests or field plazas there...
    would maybe help for traffic...

All of you guys have very nice cities for this competition! For me, I have just started with my city and still have
around 200 people from a village I started to accompany the larger city. I hope I have more time during the
    weekends :)

Thanks for the comments. I actually have quite a lot of the American houses on the map but you can't see them easily with all the trees etc.

I do need to work on the river a bit when I start to fine tune the map

Looks to be a large one indeed. Nevertheless I would suggest more subtle bridges, for such a narrow river, they are a bit too big, imho.
