    @Isaiascr

To make a tunnel through a montage,

    On Cities XXL, I invite you to download the following mod;
Transportation - XXL Realistic Highway Mod
    [IMG]

Then you need to build a road from the bridge tool,
Draw your route across a mountain and the bridge will turn into a tunnel

Here on my town I used the two lane highway bridge.
Sur la photo ci-après, il s'agit du 4e pont, en partant de la droite
    [IMG]

I hope I have answered your question as well as possible,

Transportation - USA Road Pack - XXL

    It is a game building.
I built two power stations side by side

    Ploppables - Power Lines Pack

What warehouse are you talking about?

    You must use this mod
Plazas - Medium mountain autumn tree - 1

    This will be updated.

Likewise, this will be the subject of a future update.

Yes it is true that I could have made it shorter.
Maybe the mayor of the city will consider renovating! :p

Indeed it is a shopping center.
However, I find your point of view very surprising.
The United States of America is overwhelmed by this kind of shopping center

Don't forget that the suburbs spread beyond the map!:p

By clicking on the links you can see a huge shopping center in the suburbs
    Google Maps

The city currently has 1,270,000 inhabitants.
So far, I've only built half of the map.
I think, once the map is completely covered with buildings, the city could reach 2 million inhabitants.

In addition, I imagine that in real life the suburbs do not stop at the limit of the map of cities XXL,

We can therefore imagine, that the agglomeration of the city and the suburbs could be greater than 3 million

In addition, I remind you my dear friend that it is an old capital,

And it is true that it is important on Xl Nation to have a beautiful and large airport!:p:ROFLMAO:

Just now I realized that you put the tower, from another mod, under the pillar of the power line, great idea.

    You have sharp eyes!

Here are two images of the warehouse.

My initial idea was to make a warehouse for the maintenance of the highway.
But hey, we're a bit limited on Cities XL.
So, I did what I could with the means at hand ...

    So, for my review:

I have to say that I absolutely admire your patience and your passion for the game! I mean, you proved your skills already with your journal of Florence, where you constructed a gorgeous old town, some realistic large-scale plazas, built major goods stations, and so on :) But with Kent, you have moved to another level. Mainly due to two key points: First, the level of detail not just in the downtown area, but also in the suburbs. Second, the space-consuming ideas and their realization!

There are some minor points of critique, nonetheless. But as always, it's not that important:
    1) I have to say that albeit I love your airport, I think that the runways face the wrong direction. I mean, airports that size have to allow for planes coming from each direction, be it in an emergency landing approach, or just in common traffic. But the tall skyscrapers and the TV tower close by disallow for approaches from that direction. Also, I miss some taxiway connection between the two runways ;) What do you do when one runway has to be closed?
    2) Some parts of your highway and expressway system are a bit confusing to me. For example, this image:
Register or to view Spoiler content!
I mean, cars on the right expressway (at the bottom of the image) that mistakenly take the wrong exit are stuck on that lower expressway forever, not? :D
    3) Given the video and the images you uploaded so far, I do miss some unemployed estates. I mean, in an American city, you usually find some areas with unused land, or some old factories that are not used at the moment. I recognized maybe two or three unused land areas, but that was it. Usually, you have more of these in any large modern Western city. But just a minor point. Your city is too perfect to be real :p

But did I already say how much I admire your city? ;)
I love how you cared about the suburbs. You not only just squished residential buildings into grid like others do, you also added hospital, schools, kindergartens, malls, and so on, not to mention power lines and billboards! Looking at your images often felt like looking at pictures taken from a real city :) You did not mix any kinds of buildings, you cared about transitions between industrial and residential districts. You carefully chose the plaza mods and the building mods to create a specific North-Eastern atmosphere, and you totally nailed it in my eyes. That's what distinguishes a veteran from a beginner (y)

I have to say that I am totally in love with your airport. I know, people already said that it's too close to the core, and that it is too large. But you know what? Cities like Boston and Phoenix also have their airports really close to the downtown area. So yeah, it may be uncommon, but not unreal! And the airport itself looks overly realistic. You placed passenger, cargo, and maintenance areas there, you did care about every single detail. And then you added this majestic monorail station. Wonderful design!

Nonetheless, maybe the most important thing about your city apart from the realism is to me the highway and expressway network! I have never seen before a vast highway network like yours that has also been so smoothly designed. You cared everywhere about ramps that are long enough, and you generally cared about all the districts having enough access points to the network. Yes, I have seen great highway networks before, but none like yours! You even created rest stops along the highways :xllove:

I think one can recognize how outstanding your network is within the image that shows the highway bridge next to the airport, as well as its surroundings. One of my favourite images :)

Regarding what I can see from the downtown area, I think you did a terrific job with the compact center and the skyline. And that park on the island surely sees a surge in visitors everyday after work. Furthermore, I like your idea of implementing a BRT system. At first, when I saw some of your photos within the contest threads, I was not sure whether it would fit into the city. But given the better views, I can tell now that it fits, it adds some kind of urban renewal feeling to the downtown, and it is not too spacious. I hope we will see some maps of your bus system soon ;)

There are lots of other things I like a lot, but to mention a few:
    - the power station looks glorious, once again, good eye for the details! Reminds me a bit on one of my own power plants in a different contest^^
    - the harbour terminals look fantastic (y)
    - I really like the district around the round sports hall, would love to take a walk there and explore said neighbourhood :)

    Keep it up!

    Kipate,
Well, it's me who gives you 5 stars for your comment!
    Lots of fun reading it.
You know how to find the words to describe what you see.
Even your critics are common sense critics!
It is true that there is no link between the two airport runways.
We can imagine that it exists outside the map!

Know that my work on this city continues!
I hope I can do more,
In the meantime, I will certainly make another update in August, during the holidays!

And thank you again for taking your time to comment on my work!

And you, are you still playing Cities XL?

@Drazicdesign well, I am looking forward to seeing your updates (y)
In the meantime, I sincerely hope that some of the other veteran members will find some time to leave a nice review, too :)

And yes, I stil play XXL. I started an American city some weeks ago, but I was not able to do more than laying out the grid and terraforming the map^^
